Kady, age 6: Big Kids Camp |

This week at Markeim was very fun! The theme of the week was impressionism and pointillism. I had the little kids morning class. We learned about Van Gogh and a lot of other amazing artists! On Monday we made paintings using dots, which was pointillism. On Tuesday we demonstrated impressionism by blotting paper with blue, green and white paints to make water. Then afterwards we added 3-dimensional water lilys! On Wednesday we did our rendition of Van Gogh's 'Starry Night'. The kids drew the moon and stars on blue paper with some oil pastels. On Thursday we made 3-dimensional sunflowers out of a dough we made and painted them! Lastly on Friday, we painted a big wall painting and had fun with liquid water colors on slightly dampened paper!
