Whether it be in Teen Camp or Pottery, even our youngest and oldest in regular camp, the soft and malleable medium has made its way on to all the surfaces here at Markeim. The teen camp created shadow boxes using plaster, and then clay to mold and sculpt their own reflections. In pottery as usual there were bowls and pots being thrown on the wheel, as well as some interesting hand sculptures beginning to grow. The big kids also got to experiment with the terra cotta as well as a softer, more flexible friend: model magic. Here we used the clay to help bring to life the spirit of patriotism in our second week's theme. We had a great time!
