AM Little Kids Camp
Title of artwork: Mateal Stuff
Materials used: paper, ribbon/string, salt, watercolor paint, paint brushes, scrapbook accessories, stapler, hole puncher, and paper cutter
Today, the kids made an art project using watercolor paint and salt. As you can see, when salt is put onto the wet paint, texture is created all across the paper. Then, the paintings were cut into smaller pieces to create a book and two bookmarks per kid. Emmy used things found in nature like hearts and butterflies to decorate her bookmarks. Finally, the bookmarks were hole punched and tied with a string and the books were stapled together. Emmy says that her favorite part of this project was the way it looked. She said that it looked "cool". The most difficult part for her was the "difficult artist".
Emmy worked very hard on her project. She was very precise and took the time to place each color where she wanted it and where she thought it looked best. Same with the scrapbook accessories.
